I have been very busy the past few months designing the Invitations and Save-the-Dates for this amazing benefit. I am even submitting 2 silent auction items; a 20 page photobook, and a basket of goodies sponsored by my other business la petite chef.

Childbearing after Recovery is a fundraising effort to preserve fertility in young cancer patients. The current chemotherapy and radiation treatments that are so successful to cure cancer have devastating impacts on the fertility of these young people, leaving them unable to have biologic children.

The exciting news is that fertility preservation is often now possible prior to individuals receiving intervention for their cancers. While freezing sperm in young men faced with cancer has been available for decades, new technology now allows for possible harvesting and freezing of eggs in young women.

This Benefit planned by the Strong Fertility Center, part of the University of Rochester Medical Center, is dedicated to raising awareness of fertility preservation options and raise funds to assist cancer patients.
